Culminating on Memorial Day, I'm thankful for recent PBS Specials & HBO ('Pacific') coverage of our Veterans' contributions during wartime, especially that of 'The Greatest Generation'. 
My grandfather (deceased), father-in-law (very much alive & kicking) and those peers of their generation still lucky to be with us have an entirely unique perspective of what wartime sacrifice really means; one I'm sure that we can scarcely fathom.
